About Jewelcrafting
- Jewelcrafting belongs to crafting professions.
- Apart from a Jeweler's Toolset, all you need to have in your pocket are your gems and, in the case of rings and necklaces, settings sold by NPCs.
- Jewelcrafters also need ores collected by the mining profession in order to prospect them and extract valuable gems for further processing.
- In order not to have to buy the gems for your work in the auction house, it is advisable to learn the gathering profession Mining as a second profession.
- Jewelcrafters mainly produce gems, which are socketed into armor, but also rings and necklaces as well as jewelry.
- Draenei have a +10 bonus to Jeweler's skill due to their passive folk ability Gemcutting. This means that recipes stay orange 10 points longer, which can save materials and thus gold in many cases.
Learning Draenor Jewelcrafting
To learn Draenor Jewelcrafting you need Draenor Jewelcrafting. There are 3 ways to get your hands on it:
- Buy it in Ashran. Alliance Players get it from
Royce Bigbeard in Stormshield, Horde Players from 
Nonn Threeratchet in Warspear. - If you built a corresponding profession building in your garrison, you will get the scroll from one of the NPCs.
- If you are still leveling, you can loot a quest item that starts a quest line that rewards you with the scroll. Alliance players loot Drained Crystal Fragment from Draenor enemies or Karnoth during the quest
Shadows Awaken. Horde players loot Intricate Crimson Pendant from Draenor enemies or Dorogg the Ruthless during the quest The Butcher of Bladespire. The quest chain rewards you with the scroll.
Leveling Draenor Jewelcrafting: 1-100
1-55
You should skip this part if you can't get Sorcerous Fire or Sorcerous Earth cheaply.
Skilling this way takes at least 3 days, because Secret of Draenor Jewelcrafting has 24 hours cooldown.
So make 3 x Secret of Draenor Jewelcrafting and buy Design: Reflecting Prism or Design: Prismatic Focusing Lens from NPCs in Ashran. Alliance players can get the recipes from Juwelenkonstrukteur Harlaan in Stormshield, Horde players can find Kaevan Scharfsinn in Warspear. Ask a City Guard if you can't find them.
- 55-57 x Reflecting Prism (55-57 Sorcerous Fire)
oder - 55-57 x Prismatic Focusing Lens (55-57 Sorcerous Earth)

NOTE: If you skipped the part before from 1-55 you will need to grind 98 of the stones listed below.
The fastest way to skill 100 is to cut gems. You can choose between 5 different gems, the only difference is that they require different herbs. Use Juwelenschliffgeheimnisse von Draenor once and buy a recipe of it from one of the vendors in Ashran. Alliance players can get recipes from Juwelenkonstrukteur Harlaan in Stormshield, Horde players can find Kaevan Scharfsinn in Warspear. Ask a City Guard if you can't find it.
Select one of the following options:
- 45 x Critical Strike Taladite (450 Blackrock Ore, 90 Fireweed)
- 45 x Haste Taladite (450 Blackrock Ore, 90 Frostweed)
- 45 x Mastery Taladite (450 Blackrock Ore, 90 Starflower)
- 45 x Stamina Taladite (450 Blackrock Ore, 90 Talador Orchid)
- 45 x Versatility Taladite (450 Blackrock Ore, 90 Gorgrond Flytrap)
You can of course cut different gems, but then you have to wait a day each for a new recipe because Secret of Draenor Jewelcrafting is on a 24h Cooldown.
